About us

Art and culture play a major role in accompanying people in all social, intellectual and cultural questions — they touch the person, their identity and their actions.

Who we are

When we hear about other cultures, the first thing that comes to mind is the ethnicity a person belongs to. In reality culture goes much further: we are all part of different cultural groups, and our cultural identity changes when the circumstances around us change.

Today many of us live in Hamburg and carry Arabic culture with us. That is why we created the Arab Culture Festival: to make the vision of many Arab people in the diaspora real — belonging.

Our vision

The Arab Culture Festival in Hamburg wants to bring people from different cultures together through art and culture. It wants to speak to mind and soul, and to show customs and traditions from the diversity of Arab cultures that are in harmony with democracy in Germany and that are not exclusive but connecting.

The shared language

Arabic and German are spoken at the festival. The shared language for everyone lies in art, in music and in dance — languages we all understand, whatever our mother tongue.
